ثلاثٌ تزيدُ الوجهَ نوراً ونضرةً

فواحدةٌ تكفي الفتى وهي فالحهْ

Three things increase the face in light and freshness;

Even one suffices for the young man—and it is a fruit, a delight:

طعامٌ زكيٌّ مع صلاة تطوِّعٍ

طعامٌ زكيٌّ مع صلاة تطوِّعٍ

وحُسْنُ حيَاءِ فهي للوجه صالحهْ

wholesome food, together with voluntary prayer,

wholesome food together with voluntary prayer,

and the grace of his modesty; these are beneficial to the face.

and the beauty of modesty—these are good for the face.
