ثلاثٌ تزيد المرءُ نوراً وحكمةً

أَلا إنّني أُوصيكَ مِنها فكثِّرِ

أَلا إنّني أُوصيكَ مِنها فكثِّرِ

Three things increase a person in light and wisdom:

Three things increase a person's light and wisdom

Take heed! Indeed, I counsel you: practice them abundantly.

Indeed, I advise you of them, so do them often:

قراءَةُ قرآنٍ وطولُ تفكرٍ

قراءَةُ قرآنٍ وطولُ تفكرٍ

وثالثُها ذكرُ الإله المصوِّرِ

وثالثُها ذكرُ الإله المصوِّرِ

Reading the Qur’an and prolonged reflection,

Reciting the Quran, reflecting for long,

and the third is remembrance of God, the Fashioner.

And thirdly, remembering the Creator of all.
