ثلاثٌ تقودُ الصعب وهي حميدةٌ
فلاso there is no حيلةٌstratagem منfrom بعدهاafter them للمطالبِfor the seeker
فلا حيلةٌ من بعدها للمطالبِ
Three praiseworthy qualities lead the stubborn;
Three lead to hardship yet stay virtuous,
Beyond them, the seeker has no further stratagem:
Afterwards no other path for wants exists.
ليونَةُgentleness طبعٍof disposition بالوثيقةwith firm assurance بعدهafter it
ليونَةُ طبعٍ بالوثيقة بعده
كلامٌspeech لطيفٌgentle وابتذالُand freely bestowing الرغائبِprecious things
كلامٌ لطيفٌ وابتذالُ الرغائبِ
A gentle disposition, with firm assurance, followed by
A gentle nature and trusted word,
Kindly speech and freely bestowing precious things.
Kind speech, and holding back on greed persists.
