بنيناwe built وشيدناand we erected بناءًan edifice معمَّداًsupported by pillars
بنينا وشيدنا بناءً معمَّداً
ذُرَىheights غُرَفٍchambers شِيدَتْwere built علىin رغمdefiance of حُسَّدthe envious
ذُرَى غُرَفٍ شِيدَتْ على رغم حُسَّد
We built and raised a pillared edifice,
The heights of chambers, built in defiance of the envious.
مضتhave passed مائةa hundred والألفand a thousand معwith أربعfour
مضت مائة والألف مع أربع
وأكْرِمand how splendid! طويلاlengthy بالحسابby the reckoning المقيَّدrecorded
وأكْرِم طويلا بالحساب المقيَّد
A hundred and a thousand have passed, with four besides,
And how splendid is the lengthy, recorded reckoning!
بدولةunder the rule of اليعربيّthe Yaʿrubi إمامناour imam
بدولة اليعربيّ إمامنا
سلالةa scion سلطانSultan بنson of سيفSayf المؤيَّدthe aided
سلالة سلطان بن سيف المؤيَّد
Under the rule of the Yaʿrubi, our imam,
A scion of Sultan ibn Sayf, the Aided.
