وأعطand give إذاwhen أعطيتyou give غيرnot مبذرwasteful
وأعط إذا أعطيت غير مبذر
ولاتكand do not be فيin الحرمانwithholding والجودand generosity مفرطاexcessive
ولاتك في الحرمان والجود مفرطا
And when you give, give without squandering;
Give generously when you give, not wastefully,
and go to extremes neither in withholding nor in generosity.
And be not so liberal that you end up deprived.
