وعدت فأوفِ يا قاضي الأنامِ

وعدت فأوفِ يا قاضي الأنامِ

ويا نورَ الغياهِبِ والظلامٍ

ويا نورَ الغياهِبِ والظلامٍ

You promised, so fulfill your promise, O judge of humankind.

Fulfill your promise, O just judge of mankind

And O light amid deep shadows and darkness.

O light of the dark and gloomy nights

فقد آنَ الوفاءُ بما عهدنا

فقد آنَ الوفاءُ بما عهدنا

فعجِّلْ واقضِ يا وافي الذمامِ

فعجِّلْ واقضِ يا وافي الذمامِ

For the time has come to fulfill what we agreed upon.

It is time to be true to our covenant

So hasten and give judgment, O keeper of your pledges.

Make haste and pass judgment, O faithful one

وأنت الحاكمُ القاضي بعلمٍ

وأنت الحاكمُ القاضي بعلمٍ

وأنت وحيدُ عصركً في الأَنَامِ

وأنت وحيدُ عصركً في الأَنَامِ

And you are the ruler, the judge who rules with knowledge.

You are the ruler, the judge with knowledge

And you are peerless in your age among humankind.

Unique in your time among people

وأمرُك نافدٌ في كلِّ شىءٍ

وأمرُك نافدٌ في كلِّ شىءٍ

وأمضى في القضاء مِن الحُسَامِ

وأمضى في القضاء مِن الحُسَامِ

And your command holds sway in all things,

Your command is obeyed in everything

And is sharper in judgment than the sword.

More decisive in judgment than sharp swords

فعشْ في رفعةٍ ونعيمِ عيشٍ

فعشْ في رفعةٍ ونعيمِ عيشٍ

من الدنيا وفي أعلَى مَقَامِ

من الدنيا وفي أعلَى مَقَامِ

So live in eminence and the bliss of life

So live in loftiness and pleasant life

In this world, and in the highest station.

Of this world and in the highest station

جزاكَ اللهُ خيراً بَعدَ خيرٍ

جزاكَ اللهُ خيراً بَعدَ خيرٍ

وتُجزى في غدٍ دارَ السلامِ

وتُجزى في غدٍ دارَ السلامِ

May God reward you with good upon good,

May God reward you with goodness after goodness

And may you be rewarded tomorrow with the Abode of Peace.

And you shall be rewarded in the abode of peace
