أَقولُ لِصاحِبَيَّ بِذاتِ غِسلٍ

أَقولُ لِصاحِبَيَّ بِذاتِ غِسلٍ

أَلِمّا بي عَلى الجَدَثِ المُقيمِ

I say to my two companions at Dhat Ghisl:

I say to my companion in a place of washing,

Stop with me at the enduring tomb,

"Come with me to the everlasting grave

لِنَنظُرَ كَيفَ سَمَّكَ بانِياهُ

لِنَنظُرَ كَيفَ سَمَّكَ بانِياهُ

عَلى حِبّانَ ذي الحَسَبِ الكَريمِ

عَلى حِبّانَ ذي الحَسَبِ الكَريمِ

So we may see how its two builders raised it high

Let us look how its builder has constructed it

Over Hibban, of noble lineage.

On the bones of the noble lineage

قَتَلنا تِسعَةً بِأَبي لُبَينى

قَتَلنا تِسعَةً بِأَبي لُبَينى

وَأَلحَقنا المَوالِيَ بِالصَميمِ

وَأَلحَقنا المَوالِيَ بِالصَميمِ

We killed nine in vengeance for Abu Lubayna,

We have killed nine with my father Lubayna

And we added the clients to the true-born kin.

And dispatched the loyalists to their fate"
