فَإِنso if تَكُis ذاعِرٌDhāʿir رَثَّتhas grown feeble قِواهاher strength
فَإِنّيthen indeed I واثِقٌtrusting بِبَنيin the sons of زِيادِZiyād
So if Dhāʿir's strength has grown feeble,
then I put my trust in the sons of Ziyād,
كَذيlike one with زادٍprovisions مَتىwhen ماever (conditional emphasis) يَكرِdwindles مِنهُof it
فَلَيسَthen there is no وَرائَهُbeyond it ثِقَةٌassurance بِزادِof provisions
like one with provisions: whenever they run low,
he has no further provisions to rely on.
