Has the master of the domed tent fallen asleep, or does he hear?
Does the Lord of the dome sleep or does He hear
O most generous of men in bestowing a sturdy, full-grown she-camel,
O Awhab, you gave people a stubborn donkey

Full of vigor, with a forceful pull in her forelegs,
With a rope in her hands pulling
Repeatedly swatting the flies with her lip,
Hitting with a sharp ax

Along a clearly marked road, as though it were strips of leather.
As if it were the most delicious food
