لَستُ بِغافِرٍ لِبَني بَغيضٍ

لَستُ بِغافِرٍ لِبَني بَغيضٍ

سَفاهَتَهُم وَلا خَطَلَ اللِسانِ

I will not forgive the sons of Baghid

I do not forgive the sons of hated enmity

their folly, nor the tongue's reckless babble.

Their foolishness nor the slip of their tongues

سَآخُذُ مِن سَراتِهِمُ بِعِرضي

سَآخُذُ مِن سَراتِهِمُ بِعِرضي

وَلَيسوا بِالوَفاءِ وَلا المُداني

وَلَيسوا بِالوَفاءِ وَلا المُداني

I shall exact redress from their chiefs for my honor,

I will take from their heads my honor

and they are neither full recompense nor anything near it.

For they are neither faithful nor trustworthy

فَإِنَّ بَقِيَّةَ الأَحسابِ مِنّا

فَإِنَّ بَقِيَّةَ الأَحسابِ مِنّا

وَأَصحابَ الحَمالَةِ وَالطِعانِ

وَأَصحابَ الحَمالَةِ وَالطِعانِ

For the surviving noble stock among us,

Indeed the rest of the reckonings are from us

and those who shoulder indemnities and fight with spears,

And the people of blame and accusation

جَراثيمٌ مَنَعنَ بَياضَ نَجدٍ

جَراثيمٌ مَنَعنَ بَياضَ نَجدٍ

وَأَنتَ تُعَدُّ في الزَمَعِ الدَواني

وَأَنتَ تُعَدُّ في الزَمَعِ الدَواني
