Let the weeping women, moved to tears, weep for Abu Wahb,

In every condition, in prosperity and distress.

A brother of peace, never at a loss when it comes

Upon him, nor does he loathe the embrace of war.

So if you have indeed bid us farewell after close friendship,

Then what a fine man you were among the tribe and among the riders!

May God water a face whose form the people left behind,

Remaining, while they passed on heedlessly at Shaghb.
