إِذاwhen أَمسَيتُI reach evening بَطنُthe valley of مُجاحَMujāḥ دونيbetween me and her
وَعَمقٌand ʿAmq دونَon this side of عَزَّةَʿAzza فَالنَقيعُthen al-Naqīʿ
When evening comes upon me, with the valley of Mujāḥ between us,
and ʿAmq, then al-Naqīʿ, between me and ʿAzza,
فَلَيسَthen is not بِلائِميone who blames me أَحَدٌanyone يُصَلّيprays
إِذاwhen أَخَذَتtook مَجارِيَهاtheir courses الدُموعُthe tears
no one who prays can blame me
when tears take their courses.
