نَظَرتُI gazed وَأَعلامُand the heights الشَريَّةِal-Shariyya دونَناbetween us
نَظَرتُ وَأَعلامُ الشَريَّةِ دونَنا
فَهُضبُthen the rocky hills المَرَوراةِal-Marawrah الدَوانيthe nearby ones وَسودُهاand its black hills
فَهُضبُ المَرَوراةِ الدَواني وَسودُها
I gazed, with the heights of al-Shariyya between us,
I saw the banners of nobility lowered before us
then the nearby rocky hills of al-Marawrah and its black hills.
