وَإِنيand indeed I لِأَرَعىI surely care for قَومَهاher people مِنout of جَلالِهاher dignity
وَإِني لِأَرَعى قَومَها مِن جَلالِها
وَإِنand even if أَظهَرُواthey show غِشًّاdeceit نَصَحتُI acted sincerely لَهُمtoward them جَهديmy utmost effort
وَإِن أَظهَرُوا غِشًّا نَصَحتُ لَهُم جَهدي
And indeed I care for her people out of reverence for her.
Even I do fear her people due to her glory
And even if they show deceit, I do my utmost to deal sincerely with them.
Though if they pretend, I advise them with my effort
وَلوand even if حارَبواthey fought قوميmy people لَكُنتُthen I would be لِقومِهاto her people
وَلو حارَبوا قومي لَكُنتُ لِقومِها
صَديقًاa friend وَلَمand did not أَحمِلI bear عَلىagainst قَومِهاher people حِقديmy rancor
صَديقًا وَلَم أَحمِل عَلى قَومِها حِقدي
And even if they fought my people, to her people I would be
And if they fought my people, I would be
a friend, and would bear no rancor against her people.
A friend of her people, and wouldn’t take my hatred of her people
