فأيَّاso whatever ماemphatic particle يكنْit may be يكُit is هوit مناours
فأيَّا ما يكنْ يكُ هو منا
بايْدٍin our hands ماemphatic particle وَبَطْنَand in our keeping (literally, belly) وماand not يديناsubdues us
بايْدٍ ما وَبَطْنَ وما يدينا
Whatever it may be, it is ours,
Whatever he is of us
In our hands and keeping; it does not subdue us.
Of hand, and stomach, and our religion
فإنso if نعفوwe pardon فنحنthen we لذاكfor that أهلworthy
فإن نعفو فنحن لذاك أهل
وإنand if نردwe desire العقابpunishment فقادريناthen we are capable
وإن نرد العقاب فقادرينا
If we pardon, we are worthy of that;
If we pardon, we are fit for that
And if we desire punishment, we have the power.
And if we return punishment, we are able
