فاستلthen he drew out أهزعa last remaining arrow حَنَّاناًresonant; humming يعلِّلهhe coaxes it
فاستل أهزع حَنَّاناً يعلِّله
عندduring الإدامةِthe sustained hold حتىuntil يرنَوgazes intently الطرِبُthe enraptured one
عند الإدامةِ حتى يرنَو الطرِبُ
Then he drew out a last, resonant arrow, coaxing it,
So she unsheathed a sword, tender yet severe,
As he held steady, until the enraptured one gazed intently.
As we lingered over wine, till joy took flight.
