مكارم لا تُحصى إذا نحن لم نقل
خساodd in number أوor زكاeven in number فيماin what نَعُدُّwe count خِلالَهاtheir traits
خسا أو زكا فيما نَعُدُّ خِلالَها
Noble qualities beyond counting, unless we say
Virtues cannot be counted if we do not say
“Odd or even,” as we enumerate their traits.
