My hope is for kindness—the kindness of discerning minds—

And for a bewildered one's return, if he has become confused.

And in return, perplexed, should it be hot

وخوفي بالظن إلاَّ ائتلا

And my fear rests on conjecture, unless there is reconcilia-

My fear in supposition unless we unite
