بنو أسد أحموا على الناس وقعة
ضواحيoutlying lands ماwhat lies بينbetween الجِواءal-Jiwāʾ فَعَثَّراand ʿAththar
ضواحي ما بين الجِواء فَعَثَّرا
The sons of Asad made a battle rage against the people,
Sons of Asad protected people in an affliction
in the outlying lands between al-Jiwāʾ and ʿAththar.
Suburbs between the sparse herbage they scrambled
