وأنتمand you غيوثlife-giving rains الناسthe people فيin كلevery شتوةwinter
وأنتم غيوث الناس في كل شتوة
إذاwhen بلغreaches المحلfamine الفطيمthe weaned child المعفَّراdust-covered
إذا بلغ المحل الفطيم المعفَّرا
And you are the people's life-giving rains in every winter,
And you are to people the succor in every winter
When famine reaches the dust-covered weaned child.
When the abode reaches a ripe surpassing date
