كالروق فيه من الأقوام بُلَّهم
إذاwhen الخرائدthe modest maidens لمdid not يثبتنthey remain فيin الحُجِبِthe curtains
إذا الخرائد لم يثبتن في الحُجِبِ
Like a horn within it are the peoples’ fierce antagonists,
Like arrows among the crowds their darts
when the modest maidens did not remain behind the curtains.
