أمرعتit grew lush فيin نداهhis bounty إذwhen قَحَطfailed
أمرعت في نداه إذ قَحَط
القطرthe rain فأمسىand so became جَهادُهاits barren ground ممطوراrain-soaked
القطر فأمسى جَهادُها ممطورا
It grew lush in his bounty when there was a dearth
Her eyes clouded with tears when rain was scarce,
Of rain, and its barren ground became rain-soaked.
So their struggle became abundantly watered.
