A gust from the Ashrāṭ stars rose over her,
A gust from al-Ashrat assailed it
suddenly, between darkness and daybreak.
In a wasteland between darkness and journeys

تجلواreveal البوارقthe lightning flashes عنهfrom it صفحa broad surface دخدارِdark cloth

Rain-laden clouds are hoped for—torrent-pouring and slow-moving.
Dahalim are hoped for from a resounding clash
