فَلا تَحسَبي أَنّي تَبَدَّلتُ ذِلَّةً

فَلا تَحسَبي أَنّي تَبَدَّلتُ ذِلَّةً

وَلا فَضَّني في الكورِ بَعدَكِ صائِغُ

وَلا فَضَّني في الكورِ بَعدَكِ صائِغُ

So do not think I have become abject,

Do not think I have become abject in misery

nor has a goldsmith broken me down in the furnace since you left.

Nor has separation in the lands made me despondent after you
