أَغَرَّكَ أَن كانَت لِأَهلِكَ صُبَّةٌ

نَما الكَبشُ فيها صوفُهُ وَرَخائِلُه

نَما الكَبشُ فيها صوفُهُ وَرَخائِلُه

Did it delude you that your people had a small flock,

Have your people's shouts deluded you,

In which the ram's fleece and his ewe-lambs had grown?

That the ram walks among them with his wool and distended udder?

أَبَحنا لَهُ ما بَينَ بُسٍّ وَرَهوَةٍ

أَبَحنا لَهُ ما بَينَ بُسٍّ وَرَهوَةٍ

مَشى الكَبشُ مُعبَرّاً بِهِ وَرَواغِلُه

مَشى الكَبشُ مُعبَرّاً بِهِ وَرَواغِلُه

We opened to him the land between Buss and Rahwah;

We searched between Buss and Rahwah

The ram walked there, thick-fleeced, along with his suckling sheep.

As the ram walked on, trailing his trappings behind.
