يُخالِسُ الخَيلَ طَعناً وَهيَ مُحضَرَةٌ

يُخالِسُ الخَيلَ طَعناً وَهيَ مُحضَرَةٌ

كَأَنَّما ساعِداهُ ساعِدا ذيبِ

كَأَنَّما ساعِداهُ ساعِدا ذيبِ

He strikes at the horses with sudden thrusts while they are driven at a gallop,

As if his arms were the arms of a wolf

As though his forearms were a wolf’s forelegs.

He charges the horses with stabs
