تَرَكتُ الواهِبِيَّ لَدى مَكَرٍّ
إِذاwhen ماan emphatic particle جادَهُdrenched him النَزفُthe bleeding اِستَداراhe wheeled around
إِذا ما جادَهُ النَزفُ اِستَدارا
I left al-Wāhibī at the site of a charge;
I left the giver at the mercy of a schemer
When bleeding drenched him, he wheeled around.
When generosity bled him dry, he turned away
