وزورٌ شكاتي والأسى والتظلمُ
By the life of God, this remorse is absurd,
Impossible, by God's life, this regret,
and false are my complaint, sorrow, and grievance.
False are my complaints, sorrow, and injustice.

I have no illness I complain of, no harm
with which I have been struck, or anything that stings and pains.
I was stricken by, or that passes and hurts.

I undertake my tasks in them and complete them.
I go about my work in them and complete it.

I have no care but life's duty, which comes to an end,
I have no concerns but the duty of life ending
as an illness ends when treated and eradicated.
As an illness cured ends decisively.

So gain in this life my life while it exists,
is a gain here for a heart pure in its inward self.
For in it is secret joy pure of heart.

I obtain, thanks be to God, abundance and enjoyment,
I attain, praise God, comfort and pleasure,
and no one else pays a price for what I obtain.
And none other is laden with what I gained.

I have spared humankind my evil—and I have none—and
I sufficed the world my evil, and no evil to me,
all humankind are merely those who are what they are.
And the whole world is naught but those who are anxious.

My words are neither complaint nor boast; it is only that,
Neither did I say complaint nor pride, but rather
despite being what I am, my heart bleeds and is wounded.
My heart converses with itself and speaks to me.

I turn over the folds of life searching
for a deed that might one day brand a person with shame.
For a deed one day the man is branded by.

And a soul crumbling over its faults.

I have gone through every cycle of life,
I learned the cycles of life entire,
and examined in it what shines and what grows dark.
And saw in it what shines and what is dark.

In it the bold gain spoils and plunder.

watching its blaze from afar and keeping safe.
I watch from afar its severity so I may be safe.

By myself, free, enjoying pleasures.

going out at evening and morning, singing and warbling.
Going and returning joyfully singing.

And in it the full moon and stars washing their faces.

But she soon wearied, being weak

When I knew the weakness in her, that

living without a heart, being given drink and food.
