Awe and majesty surround it:

خليليَّ احسرا دمعي قليلاً

خليليَّ احسرا دمعي قليلاً

لأَنظُرَ كَيف سُيِّرتِ الجبالُ

لأَنظُرَ كَيف سُيِّرتِ الجبالُ

My two friends, clear away my tears a little,

My beloved, shed but a few tears

So I may see how the mountains were set in motion.

That I may see how the mountains shall fare
