ماnot زالَceased يأْكلُhe eats مِنْfrom لحميmy flesh وَيشربُand he drinks مِنْfrom
ما زالَ يأْكلُ مِنْ لحمي وَيشربُ مِنْ
دمعيmy tears وَيرتعُand he feeds freely فيin جلديmy skin بمخلبِهwith his claw
دمعي وَيرتعُ في جلدي بمخلبِه
He kept eating my flesh and drinking from
He still eats of my flesh and drinks of
my tears, and feasting on my skin with his claw,
my tears, and digs his claws into my skin,
حتىuntil إذاwhen الدَّهرُTime جازاهrepaid him بفعْلتِهfor his deed
حتى إذا الدَّهرُ جازاه بفعْلتِه
لمdid not يُبْقِleave ليfor me مدمعاًa tear duct أبكيI weep عليهfor him بِهِwith it
لم يُبْقِ لي مدمعاً أبكي عليه بِهِ
until, when Time repaid him for his deed,
until when time rewards him for his deeds,
he had left me no tear duct with which to weep for him.
no tear will remain for me to weep over him with.
