تُطَالِعُyou greet مِصْرَEgypt فِيin عيدٍa feast فَعيدِthen another feast
تُطَالِعُ مِصْرَ فِي عيدٍ فَعيدِ
With what harbingers of new glory
With what new signs of pride
do you greet Egypt, feast after feast?
Do you greet Egypt on feast after feast?
زَيَارَتُكَyour visit النَّبِيِّthe Prophet أَتَتْcame بَشَيراًas a herald
زَيَارَتُكَ النَّبِيِّ أَتَتْ بَشَيراً
بِمَاof what تَرْجُوyou hope for مِنَof الْفَتْحِthe conquest السَّعِيدِauspicious
بِمَا تَرْجُو مِنَ الْفَتْحِ السَّعِيدِ
Your visit to the Prophet came as a herald
Your visit to the Prophet came bearing good tidings
of the auspicious conquest you hope for.
Of the blessed conquest you hope for.
