Win a graceful maiden endowed with preeminence

Win the love of the maiden endowed with grace above all graceful maidens,

over every noble, graceful woman.

Of gentle heart with kindness that belies what's in her shining face.

سَمْحَةِ القَلْبِ ظَاهِرٍ لُطْفُ مَا

سَمْحَةِ القَلْبِ ظَاهِرٍ لُطْفُ مَا

تُضْمِرُهُ فِي جَبِينِهَا الوَضَّاءِ

تُضْمِرُهُ فِي جَبِينِهَا الوَضَّاءِ

Generous of heart, manifest is the gentleness of what

Modesty in manners, loftiness in humbleness, and tenderness in pride,

she harbors, upon her radiant brow.

The beauty of her form is what I love the most in her adornment,

عَفَّة فِي تَأَدُّبِ وَعُلُوٌّ

عَفَّة فِي تَأَدُّبِ وَعُلُوٌّ

فِي اتِّضاعٍ وَرِقّةٌ فِي إِبَاءِ

فِي اتِّضاعٍ وَرِقّةٌ فِي إِبَاءِ

Chastity in refinement, and loftiness

That the beauty of her nature is displayed for all to see,

in humility, and tenderness in proud self-respect.

And that the perfection of her beauty in every way appears as truthful to the viewer.

حُسْنُ مَبْنَىً أَحَبُّ مَا في حُلاَهُ

حُسْنُ مَبْنَىً أَحَبُّ مَا في حُلاَهُ

أَنَّ حُسْنَ المَعْنَى بِهِ مُتَرَاءِ

أَنَّ حُسْنَ المَعْنَى بِهِ مُتَرَاءِ

Beauty of form, whose dearest charm

is that inner beauty is visible through it.

وَكَمَالُ الْجَمَالِ مِنْ كُلِّ وَجهٍ

وَكَمَالُ الْجَمَالِ مِنْ كُلِّ وَجهٍ

أَنْ يُرَى فِي الوُجُوهِ صِدْقُ المَرَائِي

أَنْ يُرَى فِي الوُجُوهِ صِدْقُ المَرَائِي

And beauty's perfection in every respect

is that faces show the faithfulness of mirrors.
