مَنْ مِثْلُ وَاصِفَ وَالبَيَانُ بَيَانُهُ
إِنْif لُوحِظَis considered الإِبْدَاعُcreativity وَالإِحْكَامُand mastery
إِنْ لُوحِظَ الإِبْدَاعُ وَالإِحْكَامُ
Who can match Wasif, with his eloquence,
Who is like the describer whose description is eloquence
if creativity and mastery are considered?
When creativity and perfection are noticed
تَكْسُوclothe مَبَانِيهِhis verbal structures المَعَانِيthe meanings زِينَةًadornment
تَكْسُو مَبَانِيهِ المَعَانِي زِينَةً
لاnot الضَّبْطُprecision يُخْطِئُهَاmisses them وَلاnor الهِنْدَامُelegant arrangement
لا الضَّبْطُ يُخْطِئُهَا وَلا الهِنْدَامُ
His verbal structures clothe meanings in finery;
His meanings adorn buildings as decoration
neither precision nor elegance is lacking in them.
Neither prosody mistakes them, nor structure
هُوَhe مِنْamong دِعَامِsupports الصَّرْحِthe edifice فِيin تَشْيِيدِهِits construction
هُوَ مِنْ دِعَامِ الصَّرْحِ فِي تَشْيِيدِهِ
وَالصَّرْحُand the edifice أَرْكَانٌpillars رَسَتْare firmly set وَدِعَامُand supports
وَالصَّرْحُ أَرْكَانٌ رَسَتْ وَدِعَامُ
He is among the edifice's supports in its construction,
He is a pillar of the palace in its construction
and the edifice consists of firmly set pillars and supports.
And the palace is pillars that settled and pillars
