سَمْعاًobedient listening لَهُto him فِيin كُلِّevery آنِmoment
When the herald of loyalty calls me,
When the caller of allegiance calls me
I heed him at every moment,
I hear him at every moment
وَمَسَرَّةًand joy بِأَشَقِّin the hardest مَاwhat
يُرْضِيpleases الْبِلاَدَthe homeland وَإنْand even if شَجَانِيgrieves me
And rejoice in the hardest thing that
And find joy in the most difficult of what
Pleases the homeland, even if it grieves me.
Satisfies the country even if it pains me
بَأْبَىrefuses (apparently a typo for يَأْبَى) الْهَوَانَhumiliation دَمِيmy blood وَفِيand in

My blood refuses humiliation, and in
With the most precious blood I refuse disgrace
The homeland's glory I love my own humiliation.
And in the glory of protection I prefer my end
