When a beautiful woman appears in a face veil,
When a beauty in a veil is seen
The veil does not conceal her radiance.
The veil cannot stop her radiance keen
أَمَّاas for الَّتِيthe woman whom أَمَّنَهَاhas safeguarded her رَبُّهَاher Lord

As for her whom her Lord has spared
But she whom her Lord has made discreet
From captivating people—what, then, is the veil for?
To tempt not others, why need she screen?
