There is contentment for the wretched and the happy.
Bringing contentment to the wretched and joy to the fortunate
ماas far as اسطاعwas able فيهduring it الدهرTime أشكىrelieved the grievances of كلevery ذيone with
ما اسطاع فيه الدهر أشكى كل ذي
شكوىa grievance وهادنand made peace with كلevery ذيone with برحاءanguish
شكوى وهادن كل ذي برحاء
As far as it could that day, Time relieved all who bore
In it time spares complaining from all who complain
A grievance, and made peace with all in anguish.
And reconciles all who hope for reconciliation
عمspread everywhere السرورjoy وتمand became complete حتىuntil لمnot يكدalmost
عم السرور وتم حتى لم يكد
أثرa trace يرىbe seen لتفرقof the divergence of الأهواءinclinations
أثر يرى لتفرق الأهواء
Joy spread everywhere and was complete, till scarcely
Happiness has spread and unity reigns so that no sign remains
A trace of differing inclinations could be seen.

كلeveryone بهon it منof شاهدone present أوor غائبone absent
كل به من شاهد أو غائب
أثنىpraised عليكupon you وقدand indeed ثنىfollowed up بدعاءwith a prayer
أثنى عليك وقد ثنى بدعاء
Everyone on this day, whether present or absent,
Everyone near or far extols you and repeats a prayer for you
Praised you and followed their praise with a prayer.
