هَذَاthis حَفِيدٌa grandson لِفَتْحِof Fath اللهِAllah مَوْلِدُهُhis birth
هَذَا حَفِيدٌ لِفَتْحِ اللهِ مَوْلِدُهُ
فَتْحٌa triumph مِنَfrom اللهِGod وَلِلاَدَابِand for literature وَالفِطَنِand keen intellects
فَتْحٌ مِنَ اللهِ وَلِلاَدَابِ وَالفِطَنِ
This is Fath Allah’s grandson; his birth
This is a grandson of Fathallah, his birth
is a triumph from God, and for letters and keen minds.
A conquest from God, and for literature and wit
لَمَّاwhen بَدَاhe appeared أَنْشَدَsang الإِقْبَالُgood fortune فِيin جَذَلٍdelight
لَمَّا بَدَا أَنْشَدَ الإِقْبَالُ فِي جَذَلٍ
