هَذَا العَبِيرُ المُسْعَدُّ

هَذَا العَبِيرُ المُسْعَدُّ

مِنْ جَنَّة مُسْتَمَدُ

This gladdening fragrance

This blessed fragrance

Is drawn from a garden:

From a replenished garden -

قَرَنْفُلٌ وَبُهَارٌ

قَرَنْفُلٌ وَبُهَارٌ

وَيَا سَمِينٌ وَوَرْدُ

وَيَا سَمِينٌ وَوَرْدُ

Carnations and narcissus,

Clove, rose and jasmine,

And jasmine and roses.

And, oh, roses and pinks -

يَا رَوْضَةَ الْفَضْلِ إِنَا

يَا رَوْضَةَ الْفَضْلِ إِنَا

مِمَّا أَخَذْنَا نَرِدُ

مِمَّا أَخَذْنَا نَرِدُ

O garden of bounty, indeed we

O meadow of virtue, we

Give back some of what we took.

From what we have taken, return.
