مِنْكِfrom you (feminine) إِحْسَانٌkindness شَرِيفُnoble
مِنْكِ إِحْسَانٌ شَرِيفُ
Poverty was made dear to us
Poverty has endeared us
By a noble kindness from you;
Through your noble kindness
فَاشْتَهَىso he wished المُوسِرُthe wealthy man مِنَّاamong us
فَاشْتَهَى المُوسِرُ مِنَّا

أَنَّه عَاف يَطُوفُ
So the wealthy man among us wished
Thus the wealthy among us
That he were a beggar roaming about.
Yearn for destitution to surround them
