O man of letters, to whom every man of letters

turns on a day of argument and eloquence.

I was told that in your jars there is wine,

aged for a long time in the wine jars.

It was purified of blood and returned to water,

then became spirit through the action of time.

The arak of taste is a marvel of taste, as

they described it, and the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

So if you have any of it to spare,

then give the surplus and win my gratitude.
