يَاO هُدَىHuda رَأيُكِyour opinion فِيin مِصْرَEgypt عَلاَrose high
يَا هُدَى رَأيُكِ فِي مِصْرَ عَلاَ
وَغَدَاand became الرَّأيُthe opinion الأَثِيرُthe favored الشَّائِعَاthe widespread
وَغَدَا الرَّأيُ الأَثِيرُ الشَّائِعَا
O Huda, your opinion rose high in Egypt,
O wisdom, what is your view of Egypt, exalted,
and became the favored, widespread opinion.
And the esteemed opinion has become widespread,
زَهِيَتْgrew resplendent حَاضِرَةُthe capital الْمُلْكِthe kingdom وَقَدْand indeed
زَهِيَتْ حَاضِرَةُ الْمُلْكِ وَقَدْ
وَسَمُواthey named بِاسْمِكِwith your name فِيهَاin it شَارِعَاa street
وَسَمُوا بِاسْمِكِ فِيهَا شَارِعَا
The kingdom's capital grew resplendent, now that
The capital of the kingdom has flourished, and
they named a street there after you.
