مُجْتَمِعٌgathered فيin جِسْمِهِhis body النَّاحِلِgaunt
Is your immense, far-reaching glory
Shall I praise your enormous stature
Gathered in his gaunt body?
That towers into the far horizon?
وَزَنْتَyou weighed خَمْسِينَfifty وَلِيand I have مِثْلُهَاits equivalent
مِنْfrom (apparently intended as 'who') مُنْصِفٍone who judges fairly حَقِّكyour right مِنْfrom بَاطِليmy wrong
You weighed fifty, and I as much;
You weighed fifty while mine was the same
Who will do justice to your right against my wrong?
If truth from falsehood rightly divided
لَكِنْbut تَعَادَلْنَاwe were equal بِمِيزَانِنَاon our scales
وَلَمْand did not نُعَادِلْwe equal فَخْذَيthe two thighs of كَامِلِKamil
But we were equal on our scales,
Yet by our scales we're evenly matched
And we did not equal Kamil's two thighs.
Though between thighs no balance abided
