Indeed, Simeon is our elder and beloved of God
and of all creation alike.
And all people equally

With elders devoid of arrogance

There are always claims between him and me,
Never between us, disputes
which we litigate, but not for a verdict.
Through which we seek judgment, not reconciliation

I praise him, while he is true to his word

Not indebted to praise

And he has the right - it is in one's soul, not in
a praiser's words, lies true greatness.
The words of a praiser - the essence of nobility

And I have the excuse - can silence be condoned
about deeds that call for lavish praise?
Regarding deeds that call for acclaim?
