فَإِنَّ أَشَدَّ مَوْتٍ مَا تُعَانِي

فَإِنَّ أَشَدَّ مَوْتٍ مَا تُعَانِي

If your boy has departed while you still live,

When your beloved leaves and you remain alive

then surely the harshest death is what you endure.

Indeed, the most painful death is what you endure

O miracle of eloquence, I have indeed been shown

The miracle of eloquence - you have shown me

by your grief today the helplessness of eloquence.

Today you are the miracle of eloquence
