Hail the princess, lady of noble lineage.

Hail the princess, lady of ancestral honor.

Hail her whose benefactions have united

    non-Arabs and Arabs in benevolence.

Hail her whose virtues were inherited

from the best of mothers and the best of fathers,

and the noblest grandfather, who built a kingdom

with which he rivaled the loftiest stars.

O you whose heart's desire is your nation's glory,

whatever toil it may impose upon you,

what can the panegyrist convey of the virtues

you have perfected through knowledge and refinement?

You have surpassed the hopes of supplicants through what

you bestow upon them without any request.

To you, then, their gratitude; its finest part

lies in the folds of hearts, not in books.

And to you go the souls' prayers that

you may live revered through the ages,

and be rewarded for your generosity; whoever

lends his Lord a kindness will be rewarded.
