لَمْdid not تُبْقِyou leave لِيfor me غَيْرَother than ذاكَthat ذُخْرَاas a treasure
Bestow more kindness upon me, and I shall praise you more;
Grant me more kindness; I shall give you more praise.
you have left me no treasure but that.
You have left me no treasure but that.
أَنْقذْتَناyou saved us مِنfrom أَشدِّthe most grievous ثُكْلِbereavement
فَمَنْwho, then لَناfor us بِالكَفَاءِwith equal recompense شُكْرَاin thanks
You rescued us from the bitterest bereavement;
You saved us from the most grievous bereavement.
how, then, could our gratitude ever repay you in kind?
Who, then, can help us repay you with fitting thanks?

That is generosity carried to its utmost height,
That generosity which reached perfection—
within which the Most High placed a secret.
the Most High has placed a secret within it.
