تَجْلَو الشَّمَائِلَ وَالفَضَائِلَ زِينَةٌ

تَجْلَو الشَّمَائِلَ وَالفَضَائِلَ زِينَةٌ

مِنْ أَبْهَجِ الزِّينَاتِ لِلمُتَأَمِّلِ

مِنْ أَبْهَجِ الزِّينَاتِ لِلمُتَأَمِّلِ

An adornment reveals noble qualities and virtues,

among the loveliest adornments to the beholder,

فِي صُورَةِ المَلِكِ الحَبِيبِ المُفْتَدَى

فِي صُورَةِ المَلِكِ الحَبِيبِ المُفْتَدَى

حَامِي الحِمَى فَارُوقُ مِصْرَ الأَوَّلِ

حَامِي الحِمَى فَارُوقُ مِصْرَ الأَوَّلِ

in the portrait of the beloved king, for whom one would give one's life,

protector of the realm, Farouk I of Egypt.
