هذي مليكات اللآليء أقبلت

تفتر عن قطع من اللألاء

ظلت تكون في حشى أصدافها

كتكون الأنوار في أفياء

They remained formed in the kept of their shells

As lights form in lamps

وقضت عصورا سيدات بحارها

يسعى لها من أبعد الأنحاء

And spent eras as ladies of their seas

Sought from the furthest parts

حتى إذا حملت إليك سبية

مجلوبة في جملة الآلاء

Until when enslaved, brought to you

Among other gifts

وجدت عزاء في رحابك طيبا

عن عزها الماضي وأي عزاء

They found good solace in your shelter

From their past pride and any consolation

بلقائها حسنا يضاعف ما بها

من رونق ونفاسة وبهاء

Rather, meeting you, a beauty that doubles what they have

Of grace, fineness and splendor

وجوارها شيما كرائم صنتها

في خدر عصمتها عن الرقباء

And being near noble traits they protected

In the isolation of their chastity from supervision
