Sol 6.1

  1. يَا مَلِيكاً أَعَارَ عَرْشاً قَدِيماً

    مِنْ شَبَابٍ مَا رَدَّهُ الْيَوْمَ نُضْرَا

    O king, who lent an ancient throne

    A share of youth that has restored its freshness today.

  2. رَاحَ عَصْرٌ حَلَّتْ بِهِ مِصْرُ أَسْنَى

    ذُرْوَةٍ فِي الْعُلَى وَجَدَّدْتَ عَصْرَا

    An age has passed when Egypt attained the loftiest

    Summit of glory, and you have renewed an age.

  3. أَنْتَ أَرْضَيْتَ بِالنُّهَى وَالمَسَاعِي

    عُمْرَ الْمُجْتَبَى وَأَرْضَيْتَ عُسْرَا

    You have, with wisdom and endeavor, brought contentment

    To the chosen one's life, and have appeased hardship.

  4. خُلُقٌ طَاهِرٌ وَبَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ

    وَذَكَاءٌ يَجْلُو مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَجْرَا

    Pure character and mighty valor,

    And intelligence that brings dawn out of the night;

  5. وَسَخَاءٌ يَفِيضُ كَالنِّيلِ إِلاَّ

    أَنَّه لَيَفيِضُ بَذْلاً وَبِرَّا

    And generosity that overflows like the Nile, except

    That it indeed overflows with giving and kindness.

  6. إِنَّ يَوْمَ القِرَانِ يَوْمٌ سَعِيدٌ

    جَمَعَ النَّيرَيْنِ شَمْساً وَبَدْرَا

    Indeed, the wedding day is a happy day,

    It has joined the two luminaries—a sun and a full moon.

  7. لاَ تَرَى فِيهِ أَيْنَمَا سِرْتَ إِلاَّ

    فَرَحاً شَامِلاً وَأُنْساً وَبِشْرَا

    Wherever you go that day, you see nothing but

    All-embracing joy, fellowship, and cheer.

  8. أَقْبَلَ الشَّرْقُ بِالتَّهانِي وَمَنْ

    هَنَّأ فَارُوقَ مِصْرَ هَنَّأَ مِصْرَا

    The East has come with congratulations, and whoever

    Congratulates Farouk of Egypt congratulates Egypt.

  9. مَلِكٌ زَادَهَا فَخَاراً وَمَجْداً

    مُذْ تَوَلَّى بِالنَّصْرِ يَعْقَبُ نَصْرَا

    A king who has increased her pride and glory,

    Since he assumed rule, following victory with victory.

  10. لِيَعِشْ فَائِزاً بِأَغْلَى الأَمَانِي

    وَلْيُخَلَّدْ ذِكْرَاهُ دَهْراً فَدَهْرَا

    May he live, attaining his dearest wishes,

    And may his memory be immortalized, age after age.
