If the necklace comes unstrung,

however highly the buyer prized it,

فأَغْلَى لُؤْلُؤُ الْبَحْرِ

فأَغْلَى لُؤْلُؤُ الْبَحْرِ

فِدَى لُؤْلُؤَةِ الدَّارِ

فِدَى لُؤْلُؤَةِ الدَّارِ

then the sea’s most precious pearls

are a ransom for the pearl of the home.
